By Evan MasseyShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberLane Kiffin has been arguably the most followed story in the wide world of sports. As he gets close to making a decision about staying with the Ole Miss Rebels or making the move to the LSU Tigers, college football fans have been all-in waiting on news.
Many were hoping that Kiffin would make his announcement on Saturday. However, the decision has not been made.
Fans anxiously awaited an update on the situation. Kiffin, who has turned Ole Miss into a legitimate championship contender, is among the best head coaches in the nation. LSU has put on a full-court press in an attempt to steal him away from the Rebels.

Now, a new update has been shared with a firm timeline about when fans can expect to hear what Kiffin's decision will be.
...According to a report from ESPN's Marty Smith, Kiffin is set to hold a team meeting with Ole Miss at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. He will announce his future plans following that meeting.
"NEWS: Ole Miss sources tell me Lane Kiffin will hold a 9am team meeting Sunday morning, and have an announcement regarding his future afterwards," Smith wrote on X.
Having a team meeting before making the announcement certainly makes it sound like Kiffin could be leaving for the Tigers.
Early on in the process, the Florida Gators were another team hoping to secure Kiffin as their next head coach. Unfortunately for the Gators, they have been focused on other candidates after coming up short in their pursuit.
Kiffin has reportedly desires to finish out coaching Ole Miss for the rest of the season before leaving, should he choose to do so. That has been part of the delay of his decision-making process.
Since taking over as the head coach of the Rebels back in 2020, Kiffin has led the program to a 55-19 record. As a whole throughout his college coaching career, he has compiled an impressive 116-53 record.
