The Golden State Warriors are a team trying to find their identity in a stacked Western Conference amid injuries and disappointing losses. Currently sitting at 11-10, they’re set to make a big decision involving Seth Curry and impacting his superstar brother, Stephen Curry.

In September, the Warriors signed Seth to a one-year deal, uniting him with his brother on a championship contender. However, new details arrived on Sunday regarding Seth’s spot on the roster. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the team plans to re-sign him for the rest of this NBA season on Monday.

According to Charania’s report on Sunday morning, Seth shot “an NBA-best 45.6% from 3-point range in 2024-25” and will remain with Golden State for his 12th season in the NBA.

Seth, 35, began his NBA career with three different teams between 2013 and 2015, before getting his first significant playing time in 2014-15 with the Phoenix Suns. He’s since played for the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and, most recently, the Charlotte Hornets from 2023 to 2025.

He played some of his best basketball between 2021 and 2022 with the Sixers and Nets, averaging a career-high 15 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game.

While the deal to re-sign him is expected on Monday, there could be a delay before the Curry brothers are on the court together. As of this writing, Steph is out of action due to a left quad strain and will get reevaluated this coming week.

The Warriors will look to his brother to possibly pick up some of the slack in the lineup while the two-time MVP is out. After a 104-96 win on Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State is currently 11-10 and 5-5 in its last 10 games, and sits at eighth overall in the Western Conference.
