Eilish first teased the project this summer during a sold-out concert in Manchester where she revealed the collaboration with Oscar-winning director Cameron.
Recommended“So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here,” she told the crowd at the time, per The Hollywood Reporter.
“Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D. So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying.
“So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”
The tour has spurned numerous headlines, most recently following the fallout of her spat with Elon Musk, who she called a “pathetic pussy bitch coward” for not using his staggering wealth to help support important charitable causes across the globe.
AdvertisementHaving called out numerous billionaires, it was later announced that Eilish herself would be donating $11.5million (£8.7million) from her ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour’ to charities for both food equity and the climate crisis.
Elsewhere, the singer made headlines when she was violently grabbed by a fan at a Miami concert. The fan, who had attempted to drag Billie into the crowd, was swiftly evicted and banned from the venue.
A fan was also praised for for jumping in to protect Billie, and then sent merchandise from Billie herself and free tickets to another show.

When Eilish last visited the UK, we reviewed her show and gave it five stars, calling it “another sublime stint from an eternal star”: “It’s the perfect example of how Eilish has grown in the last three years and since the start of her career – always an artist who’s been able to write killer songs, but one who consistently finds a way to level up and tap deeper into universal emotions.
“Her latest O2 residency may be over now, but next time we see Eilish in London, we bet it’ll be with shows – and songs – that take her to even greater heights.”
In other Billie Eilish news, the ‘Ocean Eyes’ hitmaker recently spoke to Wall Street Journal in a new feature, and revealed that she pushed back against including the hit track ‘Birds Of A Feather’ on her celebrated 2024 album because she thought it was “stupid”.
Since it was shared, the song has gone on to become one of Eilish’s biggest hits, and was crowned as Spotify’s most-streamed song of 2024, with over 1.77billion streams.
NME gave ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ a four star review which read: “Billie came into this process with aspirations to find herself, creatively and personally: ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ remains distinctly unique, a portrait of a singular talent entering young adulthood, exploring her queerness and experiencing the emotional thrill and (sometimes) catastrophe of chasing passion or falling in love.
“In trying to write an album for herself, she’s made one that will resonate harder than anything she’s done before.”
