Fortnite Festival launched in December 2023, allowing gamers to trade in their virtual assault rifles for electric guitars. “Play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by your favourite artists,” read the official description.

The rhythm game has already featured limited-time collaborations with Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Metallica and Sabrina Carpenter and now BLACKPINK’s LISA is set to join Fortnite Festival.

The crossover was confirmed by her record LLOUD on Instagram, who shared key art alongside the launch date of November 29.

Details about the collaboration have yet to be confirmed by developers Epic Games but previous Festival headline acts have brought new jam tracks, outfits and emotes to the game.

“My wallet emptied itself immediately,” wrote one fan. “Just when I had plans to take a break from playing Fortnite for the rest of the year, they pull me back in,” said another. “I already have Ariana and Sabrina so it’s nice to get Lisa as another pop girlie,” added a third. Full details about Lisa’s Fortnite Festival appearance will be shared in the coming days.

BLACKPINK have previously teamed up with Roblox, Animal Crossing, MapleStory, PUBG and launched their own mobile game. This is the first time any of them have appeared in Fortnite though.

Lisa’s Fortnite crossover comes as part of the game’s Chapter 12 which will also feature a “lost” scene from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol. 1.

Earlier this year, Lisa released her debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’. In a three-star review, NME wrote: “‘Alter Ego’ may not fully answer the question of who Lisa is as a solo artist, but it’s an ambitious first step toward finding out. The album is eclectic, unapologetic and, at times, a little lost in its own spectacle. If ‘Alter Ego’ is about trying on different personas, perhaps the real Lisa is still emerging. And when she finds her footing, she’ll be unstoppable.”

In other news, Eminem has announced details of a special collaboration with Hitman: World Of Assassination.
