By James BrizuelaShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost a major player in their loss to the Los Angeles Rams, as Baker Mayfield suffered a shoulder injury. Though Mayfield may be out for Week 13, head coach Todd Bowles announced a promising update on star running back Bucky Irving.

Irving has not been on the field since Week 4, when he suffered multiple injuries. He has been dealing with both shoulder and foot injuries, which have kept him out for seven games.
There was hope that Irving was set to return for Week 12, but the Buccaneers shut him down. Now, he has received a far more promising update from Bowles.

Bowles told reporters that Irving is set to practice all week. If he can make it through the week without any issues or limitations, he will be back to play against the Arizona Cardinals.

Irving is desperately needed, as the Buccaneers have struggled in recent weeks. After going 5-1 in their first six games, the team has gone 1-4 in their last five outings.
Tampa Bay is losing ground in the playoff conversation and could lose out on first place in the NFC South should the Carolina Panthers beat the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.
There is still plenty of football left to play, and Irving's return should help boost the offense in a big way. The dual-threat back secured 430 yards and two touchdowns from scrimmage in the four games he appeared in.
Despite Mayfield's shoulder injury, there is also a chance that he may still play in Week 13. With Irving back, the pair could link back up to give the offense a chance to get in some big wins.
