The Kansas City Chiefs got their 2025 NFL season back on track in Week 12, notching a comeback victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Trailing by three points with less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs were penalized for an offensive pass interference infraction on tight end Travis Kelce. The referees called Kelce for an illegal pick, wiping out a positive pass completion to running back Kareem Hunt inside the Chiefs' own 10-yard line.

CBS Sports broadcaster Tony Romo was appalled by the flag, calling it "the worst call I've seen all year."

"It's literally the worst call I've seen all year," Romo continued when prompted by play-by-play partner Jim Nantz. "He's getting guarded... They think he picks [No.] 53 — he doesn't. He goes to his own guy who's guarding him and they say it's pass interference on him... That is ridiculous."

Soon after this costly call against the Chiefs, quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected with wide receiver Rashee Rice for a big play to get our of their own territory. Another pass completion to Rice got Kansas City into position for a game-tying field goal from kicker Harrison Butker.

After stopping the Colts on the first possession of overtime, Mahomes and the Chiefs marched down the field to set up a game-winning kick from Butker.

Mahomes finished the game with 352 passing yards, 141 of which went to Rice. Hunt led the Chiefs in rushing yet again, taking 30 carries for 104 yards and one touchdown. Kelce finished the game with four catches for 43 yards.
