The Kansas City Chiefs got their 2025 NFL season back on track in Week 12, notching a comeback victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Trailing by three points with less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs were penalized for an offensive pass interference infraction on tight end Travis Kelce. The referees called Kelce for an illegal pick, wiping out a positive pass completion to running back Kareem Hunt inside the Chiefs' own 10-yard line.
CBS Sports broadcaster Tony Romo was appalled by the flag, calling it "the worst call I've seen all year."
"It's literally the worst call I've seen all year," Romo continued when prompted by play-by-play partner Jim Nantz. "He's getting guarded... They think he picks [No.] 53 — he doesn't. He goes to his own guy who's guarding him and they say it's pass interference on him... That is ridiculous."
