WWE Raw Star Receives Injury Update Amid Absence

A "WWE Raw" star has been absent for a few months due to an injury, but significant progress has been made for a return. PWInsider has posted an update after an initial report claimed that Chad Gable planned to work out at the WWE Performance Center. The new report notes that Gable has indeed followed through on that plan as he works towards an in-ring return.

Gable hasn't been seen on WWE TV since being a part of an injury angle on "Monday Night Raw." After starting a confrontation backstage, Gable found himself on the receiving end of an arm snap from Penta.

Who is The Real El Grande Americano?

Prior to his injury, Gable also played the role of El Grande Americano. During his backstage skirmish with Penta, Ludwig Kaiser was seen observing the incident. He ultimately decided to wear the El Grande Americano attire, and he's even created his own faction. Whether or not Gable will confront Kaiser upon his return remains to be seen.

Kaiser has had success with the El Grande Americano gimmick. He even filled in for Gable during a WWE Speed Championship reign. Kaiser lost the title to Jasper Troy during the Nov. 11 episode of "NXT."

As for Gable, his last professional wrestling match took place on June 17 during an edition of "WWE Speed." He successfully defended his championship against Berto of Legado del Fantasma.

Gable remains the leader of the American Made faction. Since his injury, Gable's stablemates, The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile, have seen less TV time. That is likely to change once the longtime WWE veteran makes his return.
