Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) may have made a vital mistake in not silencing April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) sooner and it could be her downfall if she doesn’t act fast in Emmerdale.
She knows this, so of course she’s going to act fast and of course it’s going to be brutal for the teenager. Celia is ready to sever April’s ties to all she knows and loves, just as April finally hits breaking point.
April has been struggling with PTSD since ‘killing’ Callum, with a glass shattering nearby pulling her right back to the moment she smashed a bottle over his head. Unable to offload her darkest secret even to her beloved boyfriend Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), April is carrying a weight around her shoulders.
To ease some of the weight, she decides to visit Callum’s house to pay her respects to his bereaved wife. She scores some cash from grandad Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and heads off to give the widow the card with the money in.

She posts the card through the letterbox and scarpers, too quickly to see Callum answer the door. But Callum spots her and he calls Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
As soon as she’s back in the village, a furious Ray pounces on her and reveals he knows exactly where she’s been. He warns her to stop digging into Callum’s life and that she must just deal with her emotions herself, or else.
As if Celia’s frown could get any deeper, she sets a new Guinness Record for World’s Greatest Scowl as she learns of April’s latest threat to her business and begins to plot to separate April from her family in a bid to protect her empire of slaves.

Dylan is rattled that something is up with April, so when Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) comes asking where she’s been, Dylan urges Marlon to step in. He pushes the worried dad to go to the police. As Marlon rushes off to catch April, Dylan heads back inside the house to get his phone and walks right into Celia.
Before he’s able to hide it, she spots a picture of Bear and realises she has another big problem on her hands.
Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) is currently holed up on Celia’s farm as one of her slaves, brainwashed and traumatised to the point of barely recognising himself, having recently had to dig a grave for his friend Anya after Ray and Celia effectively killed her with neglect.

Marlon catches April at the bus stop and he begs her to give up Ray’s job and stay.

He threatens her with a trip to the police station as his next port of call but as he refuses to budge, a broken April cracks and reveals she murdered Callum.
As a stunned Marlon and Rhona (Zoe Henry) take her back to the house, they find Celia waiting for them with a video call from Ray with something to say.
