The Dallas Cowboys just capped off an incredible, 24-21 comeback win over the Philadelphia Eagles that gave them an extra boost of confidence going into the final stretch of the season, but they don't have much downtime until their next game.
The Cowboys, who have a record of 5-5-1, will go up against the Kansas City Chiefs, who are 6-5, at AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving. This game is so anticipated that it's expected to break the NFL's regular-season television viewership record. During an appearance on Rich Eisen’s show this week, lead CBS play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz said that he truly believes the Chiefs and Cowboys showdown will make for the "most-watched day of the regular season in the NFL," because of the two gigantic brands coming together.
So, there's a lot at stake for the Cowboys. But on Monday, the team dished out some troubling news.
Dallas released its first injury report of the week on Monday, and wide receiver George Pickens was included with a knee/calf injury. Other names that popped up on the report include offensive tackle Tyler Guyton (ankle), defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa (elbow), and wide receiver KaVontae Turpin (shoulder/illness), all named as DNPs, including Pickens.
...But, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer "sounded optimistic" when asked about the possibility of Pickens playing on Thanksgiving Day against the Chiefs.
According to ESPN's Todd Archer, Guyton is a different story, and he'll likely sit out the game against Kansas City. In some good news, Cowboys defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was not listed on the injury report, even after taking a hit in the ribs from Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley.
Next up, the Cowboys will release their Wednesday injury report, and hopefully Pickens, as well as the others, will be off it and fully healthy.

If the Cowboys play as they did against the Eagles, they certainly have a good chance of taking down the Chiefs. When asked about the game, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones commented, according to the team's official website, "I'm so proud of that defense."
Jones added, "And when you really look at what that defense helped overcome for us, you've got to be excited about what we've got out here. I hope our fans are as proud of these players as I am. In four days we'll be playing again, and they can't wait and I can't wait to play again."
