Steph Curry isn’t a stranger to having all eyes on him as he navigates through his Hall of Fame NBA career, but this season, the attention has been on another level.

Curry might be the league’s MVP favorite this time around, but his steady choice of sneakers amid his widely public free agency has been sparking buzz before and during each game.

On Monday night, Curry was turning heads in California as he paid tribute to the Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan.

Anybody familiar with Jordan’s career is well aware of the “flu game” that took place in 1997. While Curry wasn’t facing the Jazz in Utah on Monday, he figured it was the perfect opportunity to flash another brand of sneakers as he begins to part ways with Under Armour.

In Curry’s first game following the big news that he was hitting the sneaker free agency market, the superstar guard wore a pair of Nikes, honoring Kobe Bryant’s brand.

In the following game, he paid tribute to Shaquille O’Neal with a pair of Reeboks. Although he didn’t play in Golden State’s November 19 battle against the Miami Heat, Curry represented Dwyane Wade’s brand while in street clothes on the bench.

...

Heading into Monday night’s game against the Jazz, Curry had 14 games under his belt this year. Seeing the court for a little over 30 minutes per game, the Warriors’ star has been shooting 47 percent from the field and knocking down 40 percent of his threes, averaging 28.6 points per game.

Along with his scoring, Curry has produced 3.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.4 steals. He might be 37 in year 17, but Curry remains an All-Star-caliber player in the NBA. Therefore, when it’s decision time to find a new company to work with for his next journey through the sneaker endorsement game, Curry will certainly field pitches from all over, as he’s the biggest free agent in the sneaker game.

For the time being, he’s having fun with it.
