The final stop of the pop star’s mammoth tour wrapped up on Sunday (November 23) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, bringing to the era of that hit album to an end.

Around the same time she was completing her own run of tour dates, the ‘Espresso’ singer also went to catch Paul McCartney on his run of US tour dates.

Taking to Instagram, the former Beatle shares a compilation of images from the backstage area of his gig, including a photo with Carpenter. It sees him posing with his arm around her, as she smiles to the camera.

In the caption, the rock icon called the moment one of the “highlights” of his huge ‘Got Back’ world tour, and Carpenter took to the comment section to call his performance the “Best show ever”.

At her own gig, wrapping up the ‘Short N’ Sweet’ tour in Los Angeles, Carpenter got fans talking again when she continued her lighthearted trend of “arresting” members of the audience for being “so beautiful it should be a crime”.

The trend is one she has done at each live show, and it is often the famous faces in the crowd who get the shoutout. Previous recipients of the fuzzy pink handcuffs have included Millie Bobby Brown, Elle and Dakota Fanning, Gigi Hadid, Emma Bunton, TWICE, Maya Rudolph, SZA and more.

This time, it was The Muppets’ Miss Piggy who got the shoutout, and was placed under arrest with the help of Bobo The Bear.

“I’d know that face anywhere,” Carpenter said, before asking: “Excuse me, what is your name?”

“No one has prepared me for you being here, actually. Are you enjoying the show?” she asked, while Miss Piggy said that while she was “loving it” she did have some suggestions.

“You’re so funny, Miss Piggy, wow,” Carpenter responded. “You’re the only celebrity I get nervous to be around. I’m getting really flustered … We’ve arrested so many beautiful individuals and I feel like tonight is your night.”

While Sabrina pulled out the pink handcuffs, Bobo said he would take care of business himself, and escorted Miss Piggy out of the venue saying: “I brought my own, thanks. Let’s go, Pig […] Tell it to the judge, sister.”

The appearance from The Muppets comes as Sabrina Carpenter is set to star in and co-executive produce the Disney+ reboot of The Muppets Show, alongside Seth Rogen.

While the headline tour has wrapped up, the singer will be one of the headliners for next year’s Coachella, alongside Justin Bieber and Karol G.

Her latest album, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ scored a four-star review from NME, with Nick Levine writing: “Musically, this album isn’t markedly different from its predecessor, though it has a few more country-leaning cuts sprinkled among the daytime disco and featherlight funk.

“It also sticks to Carpenter’s winning formula of pairing sticky melodies with pithy lyrics about the flaws and allure of inadequate males. If there were a Bechdel Test for pop albums, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ wouldn’t be in danger of passing it,” it added.
