Knight made the donation on October 22 to the Bring Balance to Salem PAC, which aims to help Republicans get elected to the Oregon Legislature. Currently, Democrats hold supermajorities in both chambers.
Knight’s donation was first reported by Willamette Week, which cited a new filing with the Oregon Secretary of State.
The figure surpasses the Nike founder’s previous $2 million donations to the same PAC in 2023 and 2024, the outlet noted. He also donated $1 million to the PAC in 2022.
With Knight’s donation, the Bring Balance to Salem PAC now has $3.93 million in cash in hand, it said.
