Microsoft is launching its own Xbox themed Crocs, but it may already be overshadowed by Nintendo’s own apparel.

When it comes to ridiculous Xbox products, we didn’t think anything would manage to top the Xbox fridge and toaster, that Microsoft produced some years back.

As if keen to prove us wrong, the company is releasing its own range of limited edition Xbox themed Crocs, jut in time for Christmas – since Microsoft’s certainly not going to be selling many Xbox consoles this holiday season.

Weirdly, though, that’s not necessarily the strangest video game related footwear this week, thanks to a pair of slippers based on pink puffball Kirby.

The Xbox Crocs are scheduled to launch on Tuesday at 5pm, on the official Crocs website, and rather than just be a normal pair of Crocs with an Xbox logo slapped on them, these Crocs have been designed to resemble an Xbox controller.

It’s not just a pattern either; those are fixed buttons and joysticks sticking out of them. We’re almost shocked Microsoft had the restraint not to make the Crocs function like an actual controller, considering its ‘This is an Xbox’ campaign.

They also come with a pack of five charms you can attach to the Crocs, all of which are based on key Xbox franchises: Halo, Sea Of Thieves, Fallout, Doom, and World Of Warcraft.

Microsoft says the Crocs ‘offer the perfect comfort, perfect for couch co-op sessions, relaxing at home, or levelling up your everyday look,’ though we reckon you’d have to be particularly brave to walk outside with these on.

There’s no mention of how long the Crocs will be available for, nor how much they’ll cost. A regular pair usually costs around £25 but can go up to £70 or more.

The slippers typically cost $14.90 (about £11), but for Black Friday they’re down to $8.94, so just under £7. Although they’re only based in the U.S., so you’ll need to pay extra for international shipping.

They’re apparently very popular, with the site saying it’s sold over 100 of the slippers in the last two days, though they’ve gained notoriety on social media because people think they look like… well, if you see it, you see it.

Once you see it, you can’t unsee it, but at least these slippers will keep your feet warm throughout the rest of winter.
