With just a couple of days to go until the main events, there are now Black Friday deals seemingly everywhere, including some particularly great Black Friday speaker deals available for anyone looking to upgrade their audio setup for less. Right now, Currys has a huge sale on Sonos speakers and soundbars, with several choices for every budget.

Prices start from £139 for the portable Sonos Roam 2, to £799 for the high-end Sonos Arc soundbar, so there’s a little bit of everything here. The standout deals, though, are the Sonos Era 100 at Currys for £169 (was £199) and the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) for £339 (was £449). Both are great examples of what Sonos offers in the world of speakers and soundbars without breaking the bank.

The Sonos Era 100 is a neat and compact speaker that can be placed anywhere in your home with ease. Packed into that small shell is a separate woofer and tweeter speakers so you get a wider acoustic range and a high degree of clarity, along with excellent depth of sound. Technology like TruPlay means it can analyze the acoustics of your room to get things sounding just right while you can use Sonos Voice Control or Amazon Alexa to stream music across, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Perfect for upgrading the sound on your TV, the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) offers immersive Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound with neat options like Night Sound, ensuring you won’t disturb anyone during your late-night watching sessions. There’s support for Apple AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant to give you even easier control. There’s also Sonos TruPlay for getting sound just how you like it. It’s simple to use but powerful for the price.

When looking for the best soundbars, you’ll often see Sonos get a mention. In our Sonos Beam (Gen 2) review, we gave it four stars, calling it “the perfect soundbar for smaller spaces.” We “weren’t entirely convinced by the virtual Atmos on offer [but] the soundbar sounds fantastic.” We appreciated its “wide soundstage” and support for Hi-res audio. It’ll enhance anything you’re watching.

On a similar note, our Sonos Era 100 review gave the speaker four stars. We called it “nearly the ideal small and flexible speaker” with “wide dispersion of sound”, and “excellent detail and clarity.” We were suspicious at the time of its higher price, but that’s less of an issue now that it’s on sale. In this price range, it’s likely to be one of the best Bluetooth speakers for many situations. I love the minimalist style of it too.

This is the time to upgrade with some great Black Friday soundbar deals available today. You’re unlikely to find better Sonos deals this year than you will right now.
