The upcoming Helldivers 2 Python Commandos Warbond sees a return to jungle warfare with an upgraded arsenal, which includes a massive minigun, a gigantic chainsaw, and a flamethrower drone - it's essentially a bigger and badder version of Viper Commandos. Of course, there's the expected armor and cosmetics to tie up the Python Commandos theme, with the exclusive armor passive helping you resist the staggering and ragdolling effects of certain attacks. Sounds pretty good so far if you ask me, so here's a full rundown of what we know to be included in the latest warbond.
All Helldivers 2 Python Commandos Warbond rewards
The Python Commandos Warbond is the first to release in almost three months, after several stability-focused updates took priority over new content for Helldivers 2. If you choose to buy this Warbond, you'll get to expand your armory and more with 18 new items – one loadout weapon, two armor sets, three Helldivers 2 Stratagems and a bunch of cosmetics – which are as follows:
- Weapons:
- AR/GL-21 One Two: An assault rifle with an integrated grenade launcher. It's apparently quite weighty but packs a punch and is obviously quite versatile – I'm hoping the grenade launcher can be used against bug nests, in which case it can probably replace my go-to Grenade Pistol from the Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond.
- Stratagems:
- M1000 Maxigun: Rapid-fire, belt-fed, high-capacity minigun. Undoubtedly excellent against hordes of vile enemies of Super Earth but might not fare so well against armored enemies.
- CQC-9 Defoliation Tool: A sword-like melee weapon that's effectively a big chainsaw – one for the Warhammer 40,000 fans.
- AX/FLAM-75 Hot Dog: A standard guard dog drone equipped with a flamethrower. I'm willing to bet this will be powerful but also a leading cause of friendly-fire incidents once it’s out.
- Armor:
- RS-40 Beast of Prey armor and helmet: A heavy armor set that comes with the exclusive Rock Solid passive, which makes your Helldiver more resistant to staggering and ragdolling attacks.
- RS-20 Constrictor armor and helmet: A light Helldivers 2 armor set with the same Rock Solid passive.
- Cosmetics:
- Mark of the Constrictor cape
- Foe Rent Asunder cape
- Mark of the Constrictor banner
- Foe Rent Asunder banner
- Front-Leaning Rest Position emote: One-armed push-ups to show your immense Helldiver strength.
- Python Commando title
- Chameleon Camo patterns for the FRVs, Exosuits, Shuttles, and Hellpods
We'll be sure to update this guide and our best Helldivers 2 Warbonds page in good time to let you know if Python Commandos is worth your time, credits, and medals.

How to get the Helldivers 2 Python Commandos Warbond
The Helldivers 2 Python Commandos Warbond will be available to buy in the Superstore from December 2, and it'll almost certainly cost the usual 1,000 Helldivers 2 Super Credits. Once you won the Warbond, you'll then need to spend Helldivers 2 Medals on unlocking all the items contained within, just like every other Warbond.
If you own the Super Citizen Edition of the game and still haven't spent your Helldivers 2 Warbond Token, then you might want to consider saving it for this when it’s out.
