Saturn turns direct in Pisces for the last time in 28 years — and things finally look up for these three star signs

On November 28, 2025, Saturn turns Direct in Pisces for the last time in about 28 years.

Saturn is very much about limits — after all, it’s the last planet always visible with the naked eye, so has been held in great reverence through the ages, as the planetary players beyond it were seen by the ancients as where the sky held uncertainties.

But Saturn can also be about harsh lessons, and each year when it retraces its steps for five months, by 7° – in what to us on Earth appears as a Retrograde – it can be a time when life can seem harder, progress is slower, and our energy feels that much lower.

Also, since September 1, Saturn has been Retrograde in Pisces, a sign he does not fare well in, as Pisces resists constraint and boundaries which Saturn seeks to impose, as it has an imperceptible preference to shift and wax mysteriously.

So, Saturn Direct is something for us all to celebrate, and particularly as he now heads into the last phase in Pisces, culminating February 14, 2026 when he powers back into Aries (after a brief sojourn earlier in the year) and begins a new 29.5-year journey through the heavens.

But in this particular transit, he also forges a unique alliance with the two planets of fortune, Jupiter (the Greater Benefic) and Venus (the Lesser Benefic) both in Water signs too — Cancer and Scorpio respectively.

This suggests if we have really learned lessons from the five-month Retrograde, we have a wonderful chance to use this dynamic trio in the most positive of ways.

Why? Well, Saturn brings realism to Jupiter (which can see our expectations be too high) and practicality to Venus, which governs money, self-worth, personal values and life foundations.

The water element connecting these three planets pushes us to be in touch with our perceptions, and to embrace, not deny them. And that also means it may be especially beneficial in easing burdens for Water signs: Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio.

So, while we may consider earthier, more practical considerations, being tuned into our senses is the key to making the most of them.

Here’s what to expect through to mid-February 2026 for each zodiac sign…

Aries

March 21 – April 20

You are going through a time of closure Aries, and this will now intensify in the next three months. This may be coming to terms with an old relationship, where your work situation has shifted, or letting go of old patterns that no longer serve your greater good. The more you embrace this, the more liberated you will become.

Taurus

April 21 – May 21

Your long-term future may not have been clear these last five months, and there may also have been disappointments around certain connections, and some fair-weather friends may have been teased into the open. But you know exactly where you stand now Taurus and can look forwards with greater certainty.

Gemini

May 22 – June 21

You may have taken on more responsibilities at work or been looking out for older relatives. Goals and ambitions may not have been travelling forwards in the speedy way you prefer. But any struggles you have encountered have created a clear and workable blueprint for progress from here on in.

Cancer

June 22 – July 23

You get a chance to really clarify where your true passions lie Cancer. If work or educational strands have felt heavy this year, it’d be of little surprise. Focus now on the interests that truly engage and enthuse you. It may not seem like it, but any new hopes, with hard work and application, have a great chance of success.

Leo

July 24 – August 23

If your close connections have felt more stilted, or shared finances have been a struggle, things can ease now – but particularly if you can dig deep into your own personal inner resources. By accepting that not everything you want can be met by one single person, or even financial stream, your options will expand.

Virgo

August 24 – September 23

Over the last two years, relationships have been tested, but not always in an unhelpful way. In fact, now you can feel more certain of who you can truly rely upon, or where you have taken a bold stand to set firmer boundaries with those you could not. For bonds that are growing, greater commitment can follow, Virgo.

Libra

September 24 – October 23

Work and routines have demanded a lot of you since March 2023, and there may have been times when it has felt like more give than get. But your hard work, self-discipline and application can be rewarded from now until mid-February – so keep driving forwards, your efforts have not gone unnoticed and are respected.

Scorpio

October 24 – November 22

The 5th House for you is hosted by Pisces, and can be where you express joy, creativity and fun. It can also be the sector of romance. But Saturn is the taskmaster of the zodiac, a right old Grinch, so any progress in those areas recently will have only come with much slog and sacrifice. However, anything that is truly valuable can blossom now.

Sagittarius

23 November – 21 December

I think it is likely that many Archers have learned a great deal about their more personal, emotional and family needs over the last two years, even if the process has felt bruising at times. Now all you have learned will give you clearer expectations. Any home changes or improvements can also reap their rewards.

Capricorn

December 22 – January 20

Stern Saturn is your ruler, so you can deal with his unyielding influence better than most. Yet despite this, if communications have felt heavy going with the neighbours, people locally, or tech issues have seemed relentless, things can ease now. The important thing is to be more forgiving of your vulnerabilities and those of others.

Aquarius

January 21 – February 19

Saturn has been urging you to simplify your life foundations and finances over the last two years, and the more functional these are, the better. This may have seen you approach costs with a sharper sense of needs must, and cutting back on fripperies has been shrewd. But you do have the chance to bring in new forms of income in the next three months.

Pisces

February 20 – March 20

I think it’s likely that your personal vitality has been up and down the last couple of years Pisces. You may have resolutely battled on but had to simplify your approach and focus on essentials. You have done the really tough bit – now you can start to appreciate what and who is left, and the importance of this and them to you.
