The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced that several baby and child products, mainly sold by third-party vendors on Amazon, have been recalled due to safety issues.

Why It Matters

The CPSC has warned that continued use of these products is unsafe and could lead to serious injury or death.

What To Know

On November 26, 2025, the CPSC announced a new slate of product recalls, affecting several high chairs, baby loungers and safety gates that were sold on Amazon (and other online retailers). Each recalled product failed to meet mandatory federal safety standards, posing hazards such as falls, entrapment and asphyxiation.

Rotinyard Convertible Baby High Chairs

From March through June 2025, about 130 Rotinyard convertible high chairs—sold on Amazon for around $90 in beige or pink—have been recalled. According to the CPSC, the chairs violate federal safety standards because they lack an attached restraint system, creating a fall hazard. Plus, the gap between the seat and tray poses a risk of head entrapment. Consumers should stop using the product immediately, disassemble it, and email photos of the destroyed parts to [email protected] to get a full refund.

Sofoliana and Glotika Baby Loungers

About 200 Sofoliana and Glotika baby loungers—sold on Amazon by Shenzhen Bosen Trading Co., Ltd. between August and October 2025—have been recalled for violating federal infant sleep product standards. The loungers have low sides and wide openings, creating entrapment and fall hazards. They also lack a stand, making them dangerous on elevated surfaces. Consumers should stop using the product immediately, dismantle it and email photos of the destroyed parts to [email protected] for a full refund.

Ikuso Safety Gates

From August through October 2025, about 100 Ikuso steel pressure-mounted safety gates—sold on Amazon by Hubei Suishanghui E-commerce Co.—have been recalled for violating federal standards for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. The gap between the slat and the side wall can allow a child’s torso to pass through, creating an entrapment hazard that could lead to serious injury or death. Consumers should stop using the product immediately, write “Recalled” on the gate, take a photo and email it to [email protected] to receive a full refund.

Macardac and Alinux Baby Loungers

About 700 Macardac baby loungers—sold on Amazon by Macardac LLC between June 2024 and October 2025—and approximately 1,200 Alinux baby loungers, sold by Chinese manufacturer NingBoMaiHuangHuWaiYongPinYouXianGongSi between May and October 2025—have been recalled for failing to meet federal safety standards for infant sleep products. Both loungers have low sides and wide openings, creating entrapment and fall hazards. Both products also lack a stand, which increases the risk of falls if the baby lounger is placed on an elevated surface. The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the products immediately, destroy them, and email photos of the dismantled parts to [email protected] or [email protected] for a full refund.

According to all the available CPSC recall notices, there have been no injuries or fatalities reported in connection with these specific products, as of the recall date—Wednesday, 26th November 2025.

What People Are Saying

The CPSC says on its website that it is "charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risk of injury associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products."

It adds: Since the CPSC was established more than 50 years ago, it has worked to ensure the safety of consumer products, which has contributed to a decline in injuries associated with these products.”

What Happens Next

Consumers are advised to follow recall instructions posted by each manufacturer and report any relevant product or injury information at SaferProducts.gov or the CPSC hotline at 800-638-2772.
