Joe Burrow opted to come back and play for the Cincinnati Bengals despite the team sitting at 3-8 and well outside of a potential playoff spot. For him, it's just a part of the game.
"I'm not ever going to go to somebody and say, 'Yeah, I'm healthy, but I don't think I should go out there and play,'" Burrow said earlier this week as he attempts to come back from from a turf toe injury that sidelined him for the past nine games. "That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I'm not going to live my life and play this game scared of something happening."
"Yeah, I've had injuries. There's not a lot I can do about that. I worked really hard to have that not happen. But what I can do is when it does happen, I can control how I'm attacking my rehab and attacking practice and doing everything in my power to get back as quickly as possible. And that's what I did."
Burrow's return didn't get off to the best start, though.

As Burrow and the rest of the Bengals prepared for their trip to Baltimore, the team suffered an unfortunate travel mishap. The team was scheduled to take off on its chartered flight to Baltimore around 5 p.m. ET, but didn't actually leave until well after 10 p.m. ET as the team was forced to switch planes, according to WLWT.
The team eventually arrived at their hotel in Baltimore after midnight.

Baltimore and Cincinnati don't play until 8:20 p.m. on Thanksgiving, which should allowed for the Bengals to have time to prepare for the contest. However, the players likely didn't get the best sleep possible before a must-win contest.
