President Donald Trump has recently criticized reporters' looks in public. Here's a look at the different incidents.

The latest one took place on Wednesday, when Trump called The New York Times' reporter Katie Rogers "ugly, both inside and out." The claim took place a day after Rogers co-authored a report detailing signs of Trump's aging during his second term in office, especially compared to his stamina during his first one.

Trump did not mention the other reporter and went on to slam the outlet as a "cheap rag" and an "enemy of the people."

An NYT spokesperson stood by the reporting, saying "name-calling and personal insults don't change" the report's accuracy, "nor will our journalists hesitate to cover this administration in the face of intimidation tactics like this."

Earlier this month, Trump responded to a question about disgraced financier and abuser Jeffrey Epstein by telling Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey "quiet, piggy."

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the comments, saying Trump is "frank and open and honest" and voters like that about him.

"The president is very frank and honest with everyone in this room. You've all seen it yourself. You've all experienced it yourselves. And I think it's one of the many reasons that the American people re-elected this president, because of his frankness," Leavitt said.

"And he calls out fake news when he sees it. He gets frustrated with reporters when you lie about him, when you spread fake news about him and his administration."

Another spokesperson said the comments didn't have anything to do with the reporters' looks. She told NBC News that Trump "has never been politically correct, never holds back, and in large part, the American people re-elected him for his transparency."

"This has nothing to do with gender — it has everything to do with the fact that the President's and the public's trust in the media is at all time lows."
