With the college football regular season concluding this weekend, several coaching moves are expected in the coming days, given the number of head coaching vacancies available.

However, on Thursday, Missouri Tigers head coach Eliah Drinkwitz — who had been one of the top candidates for outside roles like Penn State, Florida, and potentially LSU — made a final decision on his coaching future.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Drinkwitz has agreed to a new contract with Missouri, keeping him with the Tigers for the foreseeable future and removing his name from consideration for several outside openings.

The deal includes a salary increase for Drinkwitz, averaging more than $10.7 million over the course of the contract, along with an increased commitment to staff and the program’s salary pool.

The full details of the contract were also made public from Thamel who reported that it's a six-year deal with Missouri and he'll make $10.25 million in 2026, which is a $1.25 million jump from the $9 million a year salary he's currently on.

This season, he currently has Missouri bowl eligible, sitting at 7-4 overall, but lost his starting QB Beau Pribula for a massive stretch run in the middle of the season due to injury, which has played into there slide over recent weeks.

Over the course of his six seasons with Missouri, Drinkwitz has compiled a 45-28 record and has been largely responsible for the rapid growth and resurgence of the Tigers football program in the SEC. Prior to taking the Missouri job, he went 12-1 during his lone season at Appalachian State.
