By James BrizuelaShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Thanksgiving showdown between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers is off and running, but the Lions have been hit with a significant injury. Star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has left the game with a concerning leg injury.

St. Brown appeared to have his leg rolled on by multiple players during a play, and he left immediately to the locker room after being checked out on the field.

Losing St. Brown would be a huge loss for the Lions, as the team is already down Sam LaPorta. Brown is one of the best receivers in the league, and the offense will take a huge hit without him on the field.

Per reports, St. Brown is now questionable to return to the game with a leg injury. The silver lining is that he has not yet been ruled out, so maybe some care can lead to the star receiver making his way back at some point.
For now, Jared Goff and company will have to do their best to carry on without one of their top offensive playmakers.
The Packers and Lions are taking one another on in a very big divisional showdown. Detroit is currently third in the NFC North with a 7-4 record, and Green Bay is right above at 7-3.
Both teams are chasing the first-place 8-3 Chicago Bears. The North will be a tough battle, and the Lions need to win this game to potentially secure first place from the Bears, should they lose their Week 13 game.
Losing St. Brown is not going to help the Lions' cause. The hope for Detroit is that he can return to the game, possibly after halftime or sooner.
