The iPhone 16e has never been the easiest iPhone for me to recommend – despite being our pick for the best budget iPhone, I’ve always felt the 2025 successor to the iPhone SE is just a bit too expensive at full retail price. Luckily, the Black Friday gods have deigned to set things right, and you can now get the iPhone 16e for £499 (was £599) at Amazon.

Today's best iPhone 16e Black Friday deal
Apple iPhone 16e: was £544 now £499 at AmazonThe iPhone 16e is Apple's cheapest handset, but still pretty expensive compared to its competitors. However, this Black Friday deal knocks £45 off the previous listed price and £100 off the full retail price of the handset. For that, you get a compact 6.1-inch display, the powerful A18 chipset, and full access to Apple Intelligence. It's also got a 48MP rear camera that ranks amongst the best wide-angle snappers in this price bracket.
View DealAs mentioned, the iPhone 16e is something of an oddball when it comes to hardware specs. It’s got the same 6.1-inch display as the iPhone 14, with the same notch and 60Hz refresh rate, but under that old screen the iPhone 16e has the same hardware as the iPhone 16, namely the powerful A18 chipset and 8GB of RAM. That means this budget-focused handset can run the latest apps and games, as well as the full suite of Apple Intelligence tools.
Additionally, the iPhone 16e comes with just the one rear camera, while competitors typically have two or three. Luckily, it’s a really good one – the iPhone 16e’s Fusion Camera has a wide-angle lens and 48MP sensor that produce detailed and vibrant photos (you can check out our iPhone 16e review for examples). You can also crop into a central 12MP for a lossless digital zoom.
If you’re an Android fan or ambivalent about which mobile operating system you use, then I’d suggest checking our guide to the best cheap phones, or just going straight to the Google Pixel 9a or Samsung Galaxy S25 FE.
But if you’re going to buy an iPhone no matter what and want to keep things on a budget, this deal takes the iPhone 16e from a “maybe” to a “no brainer”, and makes it look like an actual budget option against the mega-value of the iPhone 17.

Google Pixel 10: was £799 now £599 at CurrysThe Google Pixel 10 is £200 off in this Black Friday deal at Currys, which is a bigger discount than we'd normally expect to see on a recently-released flagship phone. The Google Pixel 10 launched in August, with a beautiful 6.3-inch display, a compact frame, extended battery life, a new telephoto camera, and support for magnetic PixelSnap accessories. Seeing such a big discount so soon after launch is rare.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: was £1,249 now £999 at AmazonThe Galaxy S25 Ultra takes everything that the Galaxy S24 Ultra has to offer and amplifies it to make one of the best Android phones we've ever tried. Through Galaxy AI, Google Gemini, and Bixby, this phone embeds AI deeply into the experience of every user. Right now, the 256GB version is down to a record-low price, though you can also save £250 on the 512GB model if you want more storage.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: was £1,784.52 now £599 at Back Market UKThe Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is just £599 at BackMarket this Black Friday. This deal is for units in "Fair" condition with "Standard" batteries, meaning there might be some minor cosmetic damage to the displays and chassis, and the battery is guaranteed to have at least 80% of its original capacity. If that all sounds good, then this is an absurdly low price for last year's best folding phone.
