By Matthew CoudenShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberWWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk sent a strong message to WWE and the fans before getting into the ring for Saturday’s Survivor Series WarGames. He'll participate in one of the premium live event's two WarGames matches, with his teammates including WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and Roman Reigns.
They'll have the unenviable task of going to war inside two rings surrounded by a steel cage against a team featuring Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre. While two opponents begin, the advantage could shift once additional competitors join the match. The objective is to be the last team standing after the all-out war involving fists, legs, the cage walls, and various weapons, but it won't be easy for Punk and his teammates.
Before the massive WWE event, Punk shared an eye-opening suggestion regarding the upcoming matches, which also include John Cena defending the Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio and Nikki Bella challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's World Heavyweight Championship.

...Punk recently spoke with sports personality Kay Adams, who works with Fanduel. During the discussion, Adams asked him about the upcoming WWE Survivor Series and about watching his wife, AJ Lee, compete in her first-ever women's WarGames match.
"I'm a little biased. My wife is obviously in that match, and I'm excited to watch it. I think the women should be the main event, selfishly," Punk suggested to Adams, also adding, "AJ Lee coming back to wrestling and being in a cage match is a big deal."
"She gets to punch Becky Lynch in the face. I can only imagine how good that is gonna feel," Punk said, before listing off additional competitors, including Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair.
He called AJ's team a "blue-eyed babyface" team and a "dream team," comparing them to the group in the movie "The Breakfast Club" because each woman has a unique WWE character or persona.

During his chat with Adams, Punk admitted he believes the men's WarGames match will likely be the headliner for Survivor Series, given the top two champions on the same team and the star power. However, he felt strongly that the women deserved that spot at this year's event.
The women have been the headline match at various premium live events, including their first-ever Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber in 2018, as well as their first WrestleMania in 2019.
They had their first-ever WarGames match in 2022, but have yet to headline this specific event. However, one never knows whether WWE chief content officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque might change things up and have it headline Saturday's Survivor Series WarGames in San Diego, California.
The premium live event begins at 7 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, Nov. 29, with a streaming presentation available in the United States via the ESPN App.
