Dachshund Gets Told Off on Pet Cam, Owner Can’t Cope With...

A dachshund puppy’s hilarious response to being told off via the pet cam has left the internet in hysterics, as social media users lauded his spicy attitude.

The amusing pet cam footage was shared on the dog’s dedicated TikTok account (@theweendog), showing his very unimpressed reaction to being told off. Malco the long-haired dachshund was clearly not in a good mood, so he took his frustrations out on the camera by charging directly into it.

After barging straight into the camera, Malco’s owner could be heard shouting “no” and telling the dog to stop. That certainly didn’t perturb the mischievous pup however, as he continued angrily jumping up towards the pet cam.

Internet users can’t get enough of the dog’s way of showing his anger towards the camera. Since the footage was shared on TikTok on November 3, it has gone viral with over 240,900 views and more than 71,500 likes at the time of writing.

Newsweek has contacted @theweendog via Instagram for comment. We could not verify the details of the video.

The caption layered over the footage explains that Malco was “trying to eat” the pet camera because he’d been told off through it. He certainly didn’t appreciate the discipline, so rather than doing as his owner said, he tried to remove the camera altogether.

Dachshunds are known for their strong will and independence, and though they may be small, they are still vigilant hunters. The American Kennel Club explains that they were once bred to be hunters of dangerous prey, which means they can at times be so brave it borders upon rashness.

Malco took his bravery to a new level when he proved he wasn’t afraid to take on the pet cam.

Even Malco’s owner was stunned by his actions, as the TikTok caption jokes that “these dachshunds have attitude.” Thankfully, they were able to see the amusing side also, as they responded to one commenter saying they had to cut the video short because they “couldn’t stop laughing.”

Needless to say, social media users are obsessed with Malco’s antics (even if his owner wasn’t). Hundreds of TikTok users have taken to the comments section to laud Malco’s attempts to overthrow the pet cam, leading to more than 130 comments on the viral video so far.

One comment on the post reads: “I’m cackliiiing the charge up is crazy.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “He definitely runs the house.”

Another person replied: “the run up is frying me, he’s so fed up.”

While one commenter added: “Has he been watching WWE by chance?”
