I’ve been reviewing and writing about laptops for nearly 20 years, and my goal here is to make finding your perfect Black Friday laptop deal as straightforward as possible. This is pretty great specs for under £900. These days finding a gaming laptop that's worth buying for less than £1,000 is increasingly difficult due to rising component prices, which means Black Friday deals are more important than ever.

For just over £100, this is a great budget laptop for kids and students, or for anyone who just wants a cheap laptop as a second device for browsing the web. It's a Chromebook, so don't expect MacBook-killing performance, but do expect a snappy and smooth experience for basic tasks such as web browsing, writing emails and creating documents in Google Docs. You'll be hard-pushed to find a better laptop at this price on Black Friday.

I love the MacBook Air, so it's great to see the latest model with the M4 chip getting a big £150 discount on Black Friday from Amazon. It's easily one of the best laptops you can buy right now, and this model comes with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. Sure, Apple is likely to release an M5 model of the MacBook Air at some point in the near future, but from my time testing the MacBook Pro with M5, there's not a huge jump in performance compared to the M4, so at this new, lower, price, I wouldn't hold off on this excellent laptop.
