Deals picked byMatt HansonManaging Editor, Core TechI've been writing about laptops since 2008, and have covered every Black Friday shopping event on TechRadar since 2014, so I know a great laptop deal when I see one. One thing I can't stand are garbage 'deals' for underpowered laptops with ancient CPUs and not enough RAM, so it's my mission to highlight only the very best Black Friday laptop deals on this page, as well as giving you honest buying advice I've learned from my (far too many) years of covering Black Friday laptop sales to help you find the best laptop for your needs and budget.

Newer M3 and M4 models are now available, but this is an unbelievable price for the MacBook Air 13-inch with an M2 chip. While it's an older version, it remains an incredibly powerful laptop for those requiring a premium powerhouse for school, productivity, coding, or creative work. You also get double the amount of RAM at 16GB, although the 256GB of storage feels a little paltry in 2025. Still, we rated it highly in our MacBook Air M2 review, thanks to the stylish design, clear display, impressive performance, and long 18-hour battery life.

This Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook is a very basic device, but it's ridiculously cheap, making it a good buy for general web browsing, admin tasks and schoolwork. It won't offer great performance and will struggle with anything beyond light use, but the lean ChromeOS gets more from the entry-level components and ensures a lengthy full-day battery life.

Here's another fairly basic Chromebook, but this one comes with a welcome bump up to 8GB of RAM to help boost performance. It's still best-suited to general use because of the entry-level processor and limited storage space, but it's up to the job of web browsing, light work, writing documents, and streaming media. Plus, you get the superior battery life of up to 11.5 hours with this HP Chromebook, which is much more compared to similarly priced Windows machines.

We're big fans of the Lenovo Chromebook Duet at TechRadar, so I definitely want to share this price cut on the flexible 11-inch laptop. In our very positive Lenovo Chromebook Duet review, we thought the original version offered an excellent balance between tablet portability and Chromebook flexibility. This version has 4GB of RAM for acceptable performance with light use and a healthy 128GB of storage. Plus, the day-long battery life is a huge boost for those who are always on the go.

Here's another great deal on a Dell 15 laptop courtesy of Dell's current sale. This time, it's on a much higher-end configuration, with a powerful Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM - meaning, you've got plenty of power under the hood right now. This is a very, very sensible all-rounder if you're looking for a machine that can handle relatively intensive tasks like big spreadsheets or a large amount of browser tabs.

We've seen this price on the latest MacBook Air, but this is technically a record-low price on this popular machine. What can I say about the MacBook Air? Well, it's the gold standard premium laptop for a reason. You get a stunningly lightweight design, plenty of power, and unbeatable battery life. It's quite simply the full package and you can't go wrong if this machine is in budget. My only complaint? The utterly miserly 256GB of storage, which is how Apple purposely hobbles its entry-level configurations.

Alienware gaming laptops haven't traditionally been regarded as excellent value, but this deal on the entry-level Aurora 16 at the official Dell Store is fantastic today. It's actually one of the cheapest machines on the market currently with a mid-range RTX 5060 graphics card, and you're still getting a rather classy design. It's not a super high-end laptop, but this is really quite a nice machine for the money.

With an excellent 14th-gen Core i7 chipset, this machine's only weaknesses are its tiny 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM – both of which are possible DIY upgrades.

Save £150Apple Macbook Air 13-Inch (M4): was £999 now £849 at AmazonRead moreRead less▼I love the MacBook Air, so it's great to see the latest model with the M4 chip getting a big £150 discount on Black Friday from Amazon. It's easily one of the best laptops you can buy right now, and this model comes with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. Sure, Apple is likely to release an M5 model of the MacBook Air at some point in the near future, but from my time testing the MacBook Pro with M5, there's not a huge jump in performance compared to the M4, so at this new, lower, price, I wouldn't hold off on this excellent laptop.
