Nottingham Forest are hopeful over Morgan Gibbs-White’s injury ahead of their Premier League match against Brighton on Sunday.
The 25-year-old scored at Anfield last weekend as Forest sealed a 3-0 victory over Liverpool to pile more pressure on Arne Slot.
But the midfielder was left out of Forest’s 3-0 win at home to Malmo in the Europa League on Thursday night due to a back problem and watched the game from the stands at the City Ground.
When asked about Gibbs-White after Forest’s win, Sean Dyche said: ‘Hopefully it’s settling down.
‘It’s like a bad back but a ‘waking-up’ sort of injury. One where you just sleep funny or twist funny, so we’re not expecting it’s too serious and it’s settling down already, so we’re hopeful that it’ll be all right for the weekend.’

Speaking before the game against Malmo, Dyche said: ‘We’re just settling an issue with him, we’re hopeful it’s nothing too serious but he’ll miss this one.
‘Hopefully it’ll settle down quickly but we’re waiting on further news. Not this far, nothing too serious.’
Dyche made six other changes for Forest’s Europa League tie with goalkeeper Matz Sels, Nicolo Savona, Neco Williams, Elliot Anderson, Dan Ndoye and Igor Jesus all starting on the bench.
Following Forest’s win against Malmo, Dyche admitted that some members of his squad are being selected despite lacking full match fitness.

‘We’ve had so many injuries, Callum’s [Hudson-Odoi] done brilliant tonight to get 90 [minutes] in because he’s come out of injury,’ Dyche said.
‘It’s a risk and reward getting them fit. Ideally the way I work is to get them fit for the task, not use the task to get fit.
‘We haven’t managed to do that, some players are having to get fit on the job and I don’t think that’s ideal but that’s what we’re having to do.
‘The use of every player is going to be really, really important going forwards.’
