The hilarious clip shared earlier in November under the username @ourfriendarthur, shows the poster teaching her puppy how to give his paw while rewarding him with snacks. Then, all of a sudden, the cat decides to involve himself in the training.
As the poster feeds the puppy treats, the tabby gray cat follows her hand movements, staring at her until she finally gives him a treat too.
"When you’re trying to train your German shepherd puppy but the cat insists on being included," the caption says: "He’s helping.”
...Cats and dogs have a long-standing reputation for being each others’ worst enemy, but the truth is that with the right introduction and environment, they cannot only live comfortably together, but also become best of friends.
A 2020 study by Italian scientists, published in the journal PLOS ONE surveyed 1,270 pet owners who own both a cat and a dog, and found that the two can easily cohabitate without much conflict.
The study also showed that over 64 percent of the cats and dogs living together also played together, 58 percent chased each other and 41 percent fought. Almost two-thirds of the pets sometimes playfully "ambushed" each other.
Many more dogs licked the cat than the opposite, and more felines ignored, ran away, and hissed at the dog than vice versa. There was no difference between dogs and cats in the play approach and in the aggressive behaviors.

The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 252,100 views and 81,000 likes on the platform.
Newsweek reached out to @ourfriendarthur for comment via email. We could not verify the details of the case.
One user, Micheellaaaa, commented: "Please teach the kitty. They are SOOOO smart and will learn tricks in less than a day, my cats know how to sit up paw spin.”
Oksana said: "My cat does this, and he also likes to play fetch with his cat toys too lol.”
Jcb8u6 wrote: "Cats can be trained just as well as dogs! I trained my 10-year-old orange tabby how to high five! Does it every time!”
