He might have spent much of his life out of the spotlight, but Barron Trump has had more than his fair share of attention since his dad began his second term as US President. Barron, who was born on March 20, 2006, is the only child from Donald Trump's marriage to current wife Melania. Although he was kept largely out of the glare of the media by his parents, his mother has previously spoken about aspects of his childhood. He attended Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City, where the family lived until 2017, when Donald Trump entered the White House for his first term as president. According to the Daily Mail, a year's education at the school costs around $64,350 (£47,881). He was also educated at St Andrew's Episcopal in Potomac, Maryland, and Oxbridge Academy in Florida's West Palm Beach — graduating last May before moving on to NYU where he is in his second year. While his father's fame and notoriety might have pushed Barron into the spotlight, he also got to enjoy the results of his mum's own business venture, when she launched her own skincare line, Caviar Complexe C6, in 2013. Speaking to ABC News at the time, Melania revealed that the caviar-infused moisturiser was an important part of Barron's skincare routine, being applied every night after his bath. Melania previously stated that she kept childcare 'down to a minimum' — preferring to be a more hands-on parent when Barron was young. 'I think it's very important,' she told People in 2015. More recently Trump spoke about his own rules for good parenting, telling the New York Post: 'I always said the same thing. I said: no drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes. I also would say don't get tattoos, but I don't say it too strongly, because a lot of people have gotten tattoos, and that's what they choose to do.' He said of his youngest son: 'Barron is great. And speaking of height, the president has also shared a few theories as to how Barron came to tower over him and his mother - crediting his his mother-in-law Amalija Knavs. ‘Boy, did she take care of Barron,’ he said in late 2024 in the run-up to the election. ‘That’s how he got so tall – he only ate her food.'
