Netflix voice actor Tony Germano has died at the age of 55, after he suffered a fall at his home in Brazil.

The actor was best known for his Portuguese vocal performances in Netflix’s animated kids’ show Go, Dog, Go! as well as Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast.

Germano is understood to have died from a fall while inspecting roof renovations to his home in São Paulo, according to local media reports.

The Brazilian actor died on Wednesday, November 26, a representative for the actor has confirmed.

In a statement shared with People, they said: ‘It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano.

‘Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries.

‘We kindly ask for respect and understanding during this painful time for his family, friends, and colleagues.’

The statement concluded: ‘Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be deeply felt.’

Germano’s voice also appeared in The Muppets, as well as a series of stage and onscreen performances, according to his IMDb credits.

These include the films An Unforgettable Year: Autumn, which was released on Amazon Prime Video, and Labyrinth of Lost Boys, in which he played Doctor Lauro.

The director of the latter, Matheus Marchetti, has already paid tribute to Germano, describing him as a ‘father figure’ to others on set.

The translated tribute added: ‘I am so lucky to have found a soul as generous, as talented, and as endearing as Tony Germano. It’s a gift from the rarest of all.’

Fellow actor Miguel Falabella remembered Germano as ‘an untouchable professional’ and a ‘gifted actor’ in a translated tribute post shared on on Instagram.
