Air Force fell to 2-5 in Mountain West Conference play with a 20-3 loss to visiting New Mexico on Saturday night. Reagan Tubbs got the Falcons their only points with a 27-yard field goal early in the third quarter as the offense mustered just 161 total yards and turned the ball over twice. Kemper Hodges ran for 50 yards on 20 carries while Isaac Hubert recorded a pair of sacks for the defense.
Colorado State lost its fifth straight game and fell to 0-4 under Summers, 49-21 at Boise State on Friday night. The Rams, now 1-6 in the Mountain West, tied the game at 7-7 in the first quarter before the Broncos scored the next 27 points to take control. Darius Curry finished with 293 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw interceptions, with Rocky Beers catching seven passes for 94 yards and a score. Owen Long registered 12 tackles and forced a fumble, but the defense was shredded for 533 yards.
UConn coach Jim Mora was announced as the new head coach at Colorado State earlier this week. The Rams try to retain the Ram-Falcon Trophy for a second straight year after ending a seven-year losing streak with a 21-13 road victory on Oct. 19, 2024. Air Force leads the all-time series 39-22-1.
