Portable projectors are typically a hot item among the Black Friday deals, and this year is no exception.

Portable projectors give you a 100-inch-plus cinema-size image from a compact beamer, one with built-in streaming capability and, in some cases, a rechargeable battery so you can bring it anywhere you want without worrying about plugging in to a power outlet. And while the picture they put out is not as bright as their home theater projector counterparts, they’re a good option for watching movies outdoors, or for gaming pretty much anywhere you can find a blank wall space.

Amazon is on top of the portable projector deals in this year – I’ve found three models that TechRadar has reviewed getting solid discounts in both the US and the UK. In the US, there's Samsung The Freestyle 2nd Gen for $473.09 (was $797.99), a record-low price for Samsung’s portable that’s for Prime Members only (it’s worth getting a membership simply to snag this deal).

In the UK, you can find the Epson Lifestudio Flex Plus for £899.99 (was £1,149.99) at Amazon. That's a 22% discount on Epson's new 4K portable, and an unmissable deal.
