Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin has been the talk of the college football world as fans patiently await his looming decision on whether he will leave for the vacant LSU Tigers coaching job or stay in Oxford and continue to coach the Rebels. Unfortunately, it seems as if all of the negative commentary around his eventual decision may be starting to get to Kiffin.
Given the fact that Ole Miss is squarely in the mix for a CFP spot, many have been critical of the fact that Kiffin is even entertaining the LSU coaching job.
All of the talk surrounding Kiffin's future somewhat overshadowed Friday's Egg Bowl matchup. After the game, much of the conversation still wasn't about the result on the field due to a heated exchange Kiffin found himself in after the game.

Following Friday's win over Mississippi State, Kiffin was captured in a now-viral video posted on social media approaching an Ole Miss reporter, getting into his face, and sharing some explicit comments to the reporter. This came after the reporter in question, Ben Garrett of On3 Sports, made a comment earlier this week regarding Kiffin's future with the Rebels.

It's certainly hard to blame Kiffin for his involvement in this interaction, given how disrespectful Garrett's original comment was. Still, it shows that he is certainly growing tired of all of the talk surrounding whether he will stay at Ole Miss.
Fortunately, all of the speculation is set to end soon. Ole Miss AD Keith Carter has made it clear that he expects a decision to come from his coach shortly after Friday's Egg Bowl, meaning that there should be clarification on the matter as soon as Saturday.
Maybe this negative interaction with this Ole Miss reporter could help push him to make the jump to accept LSU's lucrative offer to be their next head coach. Or maybe Kiffin can overlook this incident and stay to coach his team throughout their likely CFP run this year.
Either way, it seems like Kiffin is truly still contemplating his future at this point. Following Friday's game, he explained that he still doesn't know what his decision will ultimately be and that has "a lot of praying to do" to ultimately make his final call.
