The Philadelphia 76ers have been searching for stability from Paul George and Joel Embiid.
For the second season in a row, the two stars have struggled to stay on the court for the Sixers. For George specifically, he just returned from an offseason procedure on his knee, only to run into an issue with his ankle.
Heading into Friday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, George was listed as questionable for Philadelphia. That’s an upgrade after he missed the team’s previous outing at home.
...Will Paul George Return to Face the Brooklyn Nets?
After missing Philly's recent game, Paul George will be back in action for the Sixers. The team announced that he will get the start on Friday night.

When the Sixers reached training camp back in September, George confirmed to reporters he would not be able to play for the team right away.
The Sixers went through the 2025 preseason without an appearance from the sharpshooter. When the Sixers opened up the 2025-2026 season against the Boston Celtics on October 22, George was not cleared to play.
George ended up missing the first 12 games of the season for the 76ers. He finally debuted on November 17, checking in for 21 minutes. During the 110-108 Sixers win, George went 2-9 from the field to score nine points. He also dished out three assists and came down with seven rebounds.
The Sixers ruled out George for the following game against the Toronto Raptors. He returned for the next two games, which included a road matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks and a home game against the Miami Heat. In both games, George played in fewer than 25 minutes.
On November 25, the Sixers hosted the Orlando Magic. It ended up being a blowout loss for Philadelphia, and George missed his 14th game of the year.
So far this season, George has had minimal impact on the Sixers. In just three games, he’s shot 38 percent from the field and 31 percent from three to score 13.3 points per game. In addition, he came down with 4.7 rebounds per game, and passed out 3.7 assists per matchup.
The Sixers are hoping to bounce back on Friday with a 7:30 PM ET tip in Brooklyn.
