By Michael GallagherShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberHeading into Week 13, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Shilo Sanders is in danger of not playing at all during his rookie season.
After signing with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent, Sanders was cut the day after Tampa Bay’s final preseason game.
And aside from a tryout with the San Francisco 49ers and some faint interest from a few other teams, Sanders is no closer to landing with another NFL team anytime soon, which is why he likely appealed to his brother, Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders, to help keep his NFL dream alive.
In a Thanksgiving video that went viral on social media, Shilo was praying over his family’s dinner, and he took the time to let it be known he wants the chance to play with his brother in Cleveland.

“Dear Lord, please allow Shedeur to do his best so he can pull some strings and get me on the Browns too,” Shilo said. “And please make No. 21 available somehow.”
“That’s Denzel Ward — he’s a franchise player,” Shedeur chimed in. “Twenty-one is gone bro.”
“Well, never mind (No.) 28 will do,” Shilo added. “Thank you very much, Lord.”

This isn’t the first time Shilo has gone viral on social media amid trying to land back in the NFL.
Back in October a video of an interaction Shilo had with a fan went viral after he was asked for money and gave a pretty entertaining response.
“Bro, I just got cut from the NFL,” Sanders said. “I don’t got no money, bro. You got to go ask like Shedeur (Sanders). [My NIL money] is gone, bro. Y’all got to ask Shedeur. But look, if I get back in the league, I got you.”
