By Evan MasseyShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Penn State Nittany Lions are one of the many teams across the world of college football looking for a new head coach. After deciding to move on from James Franklin in the middle of the season, Penn State has been linked to quite a few different candidates to take over leading the program.
At this point in time, there are still many different names who could be in the running for the job. It has been clear that the Nittany Lions are not in a rush to find their next head coach.
With that being said, there are still big names being rumored as possible fits for Penn State.

Keeping that in mind, there is a name that has started moving up the board to the top of the betting odds to take over the Nittany Lions.
...Kalshi has a big-time name at the top of their odds to become the next head coach at Penn State. Right now, USC head coach Lincoln Riley holds the best odds to win the job. They give Riley a 25 percent chance of being the candidate chosen.
Riley has been mentioned in the rumor mill for quite a few different jobs across the nation. However, he has remained vocally loyal to the Trojans up to this point in time.
"Oh yeah, 100 percent. Like I said before, I’m right where I’m supposed to be," Riley said when asked about his future. "I think nothing other than what we're building... I love being here."
Of course, what coach is going to come out and say that he plans to leave or has even thought of leaving? Riley would not come out and admit that he's considering his options even.
More than likely, he's fully committed to USC moving forward. Kalshi's odds might just be speculation that isn't founded in fact. Or, perhaps Riley is interested in the Nittany Lions and could become the Big Ten program's next head coach.

Throughout his college coaching career, Riley has compiled an impressive 89-27 overall record. He has had success with both the Oklahoma Sooners and Trojans.
It's exactly the kind of hire that Penn State would love to make. Fans will simply have to wait and see what ends up happening.
