What’s happened? Spotify has launched a new feature that lets you import your favourite playlists from other streaming services directly into the app. The integration is powered by TuneMyMusic, and is rolling out globally on mobile platforms.

  • In the Spotify mobile app, go to Your Library > Import your music, then select your source platform and follow the prompts to connect with TuneMyMusic.
  • Your playlists will appear in Spotify after the import without needing further manual intervention.
  • Once playlists arrive in Spotify, they feed into Spotify’s algorithm immediately, helping it learn your taste faster and personalize suggestions right away.

This is important because: Switching music services has been a real headache because it required building your playlists from scratch or using clunky third-party tools. Now, with the new built-in feature, Spotify simplifies that switch with an easy transfer option.

  • The new “Import your music” option lives inside Spotify’s Your Library section on mobile, so you don’t need an external app.
  • It supports imports from the best music streaming services such as Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora, SoundCloud and more.
  • Your existing playlists stay intact on the original service as they’re copied to Spotify, not deleted.

Why should I care? This update is perfect for anyone who has curated music for years or wants a cleaner, more organised library.

  • If you’ve ever used free trials on Apple, YouTube, or Amazon Music and left playlists behind, you can now bring them back into one place.
  • It’s especially useful if you’ve followed artists on different apps over the years and don’t remember where all your favourite playlists live.

OK, what’s next? Once you’ve imported playlists, you can actually do more with them inside Spotify, and this is where the real value kicks in.

  • You can use Spotify’s Smart Filters and new Shuffle features on imported playlists to refresh them with new recommendations.
  • Using the newly launched SongDNA feature, you can uncover more tracks you vibe with. If a particular song doesn’t match your style, you can also prevent it from infecting your playlist.
