Chelsea will once again be without Cole Palmer when they take on Burnley this afternoon.
Palmer has featured just three times in the Premier League this season with a persistent groin injury keeping him on the sidelines.
It had been hoped he would be available once again next week for huge games in the Champions League and Premier League against Barcelona and Arsenal.
But a freak accident at home has ruled him out of those showdowns in addition to today’s game at Turf Moor.
A fractured toe after stubbing it on a door has wrecked plans for his return with Enzo Maresca unsure when his talisman will be available again.

Elsewhere, Moises Caicedo played the full 90 minutes in two games for Ecuador during the international break but has returned to west London unscathed. Maresca has no concerns over his midfielder, although he may be tempted to rest him either from the start or later in the game with those two huge fixtures next week in mind.
Enzo Fernandez did not join up with the Argentina squad but has recovered from a knee complaint and is available today. Pedro Neto is also injury-free after shaking off a groin problem.

Benoit Badiashile is also available slightly earlier than expected having missed the last seven games.
