Kim Fox finds herself at the centre of a social media disaster in upcoming EastEnders scenes, as an accidental slip during a livestream threatens not only her online persona but also the family’s already-strained finances.

With Elaine gearing up for the grand opening of the Peacock Palace, she decides she needs a promotional boost to help get Walford talking. Naturally, she turns to Kim, the self-styled ‘Kimfluencer’ whose confident on-camera persona and lively presence usually guarantee attention. For Elaine, it seems like the perfect partnership: Kim gets content, the new venue gets publicity, and everyone wins.

At first, Kim is thrilled. Any opportunity to boost her brand is welcome, and she throws herself into the task with her usual enthusiasm, determined to deliver a livestream that will get people excited for Elaine’s launch.

But things quickly take an unexpected turn.

During the stream, in a moment that is meant to be private but is very much still being broadcast, Kim makes a few offhand comments about her own followers. She doesn’t realise the camera is still rolling, and the remarks meant as a vent of frustration come across as unfiltered and disparaging. Within minutes, the chat explodes. Viewers drop from the stream, clips begin circulating, and Kim’s platform takes a major hit.

By the time Kim realises what’s happened, it’s too late. Her follower count plummets, and the planned publicity boost for the Peacock Palace is suddenly more damaging than helpful. Elaine is left stunned, and while she tries to remain diplomatic, it’s clear the fallout is bigger than either of them expected.

But Howie’s attempts to help only highlight how much pressure the family is under. Kim, hurt and embarrassed, struggles to accept the scale of the problem and finds it difficult to admit how badly the livestream has affected her.

As the Peacock Palace opening nears, Elaine must decide how to move forward with the launch’s publicity, with or without Kim’s involvement. Meanwhile, Kim is left scrambling to salvage what’s left of her online presence, grappling with whether she can rebuild or if it’s time to rethink her influencer identity altogether.
