CloseNot thinking about City chasing, game by game - ArtetaPremier League leaders Arsenal host rivals Tottenham in a massive north London derby at the Emirates, with the change to go six points clear at the top after Manchester City’s defeat to Newcastle yesterday.
Arsenal have boasted the Premier League’s best defence this season but the unit that has conceded only five goals so far will be without key centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes for the foreseeable future, in what will be a challenge for Mikel Arteta’s side ahead of games against Spurs, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Tottenham have been up and down under Thomas Frank but their best results have so far come on the road and Spurs will relish the opportunity to dent Arsenal’s title bid. This will also be the first meeting of the sides since Arsenal trumped Spurs in their pursuit for Eberechi Eze, who could play a role today.
Can Arsenal extend their advantage at the top of the Premier League or will Tottenham strike a blow in the title race? Follow updates from the Emirates below

Tottenham handed major injury boost for north London derby against Arsenal
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has received a significant boost ahead of Sunday’s crucial North London derby against Arsenal, with forward Randal Kolo Muani unexpectedly available for selection.
The Paris St Germain loanee, who sustained a jaw injury during Spurs’ 2-2 draw with Manchester United on November 8, had subsequently missed international duty with France.
Despite initial concerns, Kolo Muani is now cleared to play after being fitted with a protective mask, allowing him to train this week. Frank confirmed the positive news, stating:
"Pape (Sarr) trained today, ready and available. Lucas (Bergvall) trained today and is available. Kolo Muani, yes trained today, available – of course he has a mask he needs to play with."

Gabriel Magalhaes may not play for Arsenal until after Christmas due to a thigh injury as Mikel Arteta ruled him out for “weeks”.
“We need to have another scan I think next Wednesday,” Arteta said. “We will have the timeline much more clearly than we have at the moment. It's clearly a blow because it's our leader in our backline and to miss him is never a positive thing. The good thing is we have some very good options and they need to stand up now and do the job.”

Premier League leaders Arsenal host Tottenham in a crucial north London derby as they bid to go six points clear at the top after Manchester City’s defeat to Newcastle last night.
Mikel Arteta’s men lost ground in the title race with a 2-2 draw to high-flying Sunderland in their last outing before the November internationals, and will be desperate to bounce back against fierce local rivals Tottenham.
Thomas Frank’s side are likewise in search of a return to form after a slide back to their old ways, with a woeful home record and increasingly leaky defence cause for concern.
