The New England Patriots (9–2) are rolling into this game on an eight-game winning streak. Their quarterback, Drake Maye, has made a huge leap this season and leads the league in passing yards (2,836) while throwing 20 touchdowns. New England’s offense is firing on multiple cylinders, with veteran Stefon Diggs leading the receiver corps (659 yards). The Patriots’ defense has also been impressive, especially against the run, allowing just 84.7 rushing yards per game, the fewest in the NFL.
On the other side, the Cincinnati Bengals (3–7) have struggled this season, both in the win column and on defense. They come into this game after a rough stretch, and their offense is constrained without consistent big-play production. Joe Flacco is under center again, and with Ja’Marr Chase unavailable, Tee Higgins becomes the top target. The Bengals’ defense has been leaky, giving up 33.4 points per game and ranking near the bottom in stopping both the pass and the run. They hope to get Joe Burrow back from injury next week.
