One of 2025's best gaming controllers just got even better

The GameSir G7 Pro is one of the most reasonably priced gamepads of 2025. Compared to a lot of $200 Xbox Series X controllers, GameSir's most complete-feeling pro controller yet costs $79.99. TMR thumbsticks, two back buttons, two additional shoulder buttons, a charging stand, and clicky face buttons don't usually come that cheap, so I didn't expect it to necessarily get a Black Friday discount this year.
I thought that, if anything, we'd maybe see a $10 discount, but Best Buy has cut $20 off the price of the G7 Pro in its Shadow Ember colorway. I haven't spotted this discount at any other retailer yet, or on the G7 Pro's mech white variant, so it may not last too long if stock runs out.

GameSir G7 Pro | $79.99 $59.99 at Best BuySave $20 - It's hard to say whether this is Best Buy's tactic to ship a less popular colorway, or if this is an official GameSir deal starting early. It would certainly be nice to see the White model get the same discount, but when checking Amazon (where I regularly see the best GameSir deals) this discount isn't popping up anywhere else yet.

Buy it if:
✅ You want a great pro controller for PC or Xbox
✅ You want TMR thumbsticks and four extra buttons
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want to play wirelessly on Xbox
UK: £89.99 at AmazonView DealFor the first half of the year, the GameSir G7 Pro was one of 2025's most anticipated controllers. Following on from the GameSir G7 SE (our favorite budget Xbox controller), a Pro model felt very welcome, not to mention this brand has a stellar track record. It's a bit of a shame that for Xbox players, the wireless support this controller promised them is only available when playing on PC. But for a controller with this type of comfort, TMR thumbsticks, and extra bumpers, this is an excellent price to pay.
Since it actually hit the shelves, I'd go so far as to say this is one of the most well-received controllers of the year. Critics like myself have reviewed it well, and folks online who have picked it up seem to be exceedingly happy too.
I love the premium feel of this controller that flies in the face of its sub-$100 price. Its buttons thread the needle between clicky responsiveness and traditional membrane feel. The back buttons are as well-placed as any GameSir controller, and if the circular D-pad didn't let it down, it'd feel right at home against the premium build quality of the Nacon Revolution X Unlimited and the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro (both of which usually cost $200).
It's Thanksgiving this week, and this year, I'm grateful for controllers like this that bring typically pricey gamepad features down to more affordable levels.
With it being Black Friday, deals among the best PC controllers are everywhere right now, so I don't blame you for not knowing if this is the one for you. Personally, I'd recommend this controller to anyone who wants the precision of TMR thumbsticks, but also to anyone who'd like a premium-feeling gamepad without the budget for one. This is one of the best all-round controllers on the shelves right now, and one I use in my regular rotation.
