Legendary WWE Tag Team Reunite for One More Segment

The legendary APA tag team, comprised of JBL and Ron Simmons, recently reunited for a surprise segment. The two Hall of Famers made an unexpected appearance at the Wildkat Sports Revolution Rumble event on Saturday. This unadvertised reunion marked a rare moment for the iconic former duo.

During the event, JBL and Ron Simmons confronted an unnamed tag team inside the ring. JBL grabbed a steel chair from one of the wrestlers and handed it to his former partner, Simmons. This action was a classic nod to their tag team's mercenary origins.

JBL then followed up on the attack by delivering his signature move, the Clothesline from Hell, to the other wrestler. After the chaos settled, JBL cut a brief promo before the duo made their exit from the ring. This segment excited the WWE fans in attendance at the Louisiana event.

The two are recognized for their dominant run as the Acolyte Protection Agency in WWE throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. They successfully captured the WWF Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions during their tenure. The tag team originally came to an end in 2004 when Simmons was officially released from the company.

JBL then transitioned into a full-time singles heel wrestler. He went on to become the WWE Champion following the split. The APA has since made sporadic appearances together over the years, mostly in a non-competing capacity.

Their last major appearance together occurred at the 2024 WWE Draft, further emphasizing their continued connection to the company. JBL was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the Class of 2020. The appearance comes shortly after a major honor was bestowed upon Ron Simmons.

It was recently announced that Ron Simmons will be inducted into the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame. He is being inducted as part of the 1976 Warner Robins Screamin’ Demons team. The formal induction ceremony for the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 26.
