Last week's official PS5 Black Friday deal announcement stated we'd "save $100 on PS5 consoles," but the thought hadn't occurred to me that the sales would include the gorgeous limited edition Ghost of Yotei PS5 bundles.
But sure enough, both the Gold and Black limited edition Ghost of Yotei bundles are down to just $499 at PS Direct during this week's Black Friday PS5 deals. The stunning bundles launched just a few months ago on October 2, alongside the new game, and I fully expected them to sell out as they're some of the best-looking Sony consoles out there.

Ghost of Yotei PS5 Slim Gold Limited Edition Bundle | $599 $499 at PS DirectSave $100 - Today's Black Friday PS5 console bundle deals includes the black model too, which is exclusive to the PS Direct store. It swaps the gold details for a black brush-stroke aesthetic, and also includes its matching limited edition black DualSense controller, all for just $499.UK: £519.99 £429.99 at PS Direct
View DealI still have my chonky old launch model PS5, which is running just fine, but I'm very much leaning into replacing it with one of these limited edition bundles. The gold version calls out to me the most, as its gorgeous detailing represents the fictitious world of Ezo (based on the real-life Hokkaido), including the peak of Mt Yotei, which is depicted at the top of the console, making it look like a piece of art as opposed to just a way to play my favorite PS5 games.
The little trails of gold that are found throughout the PS5 are based on the art of kintsugi, which is the practice of replacing broken ceramics with gold, and its homage produces one of the best-looking Sony consoles I've ever laid my eyes on. I haven't even played Ghost of Yotei, and yet I know I'd be pretty happy to display this, and its matching gold detailed DualSense, within my Sony gaming setup.

Rosalie NewcombeSocial Links NavigationHardware EditorEver since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
