Herro underwent surgery on his left ankle in September after an injury sustained in an offseason workout. Miami averages a league-best 124.9 points per game without its leading scorer from a season ago. The Heat comes off a 127-117 road win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, with Norman Powell scoring 32 points, Jaime Jaquez Jr. adding 22 off the bench, and Kel’el Ware collecting 20 points and 16 rebounds. Bam Adebayo finished with 18 points and 13 boards, and Davion Mitchell dished 12 assists.
The Mavericks lost to the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 102-96 on Saturday night as Memphis put together a 6-0 spurt in the final minute to take the lead. Klay Thompson scored a season-high 22 points for Dallas, while Brandon Williams had 18 but is questionable for Monday with a back ailment. P.J. Washington scored 15 points, and Cooper Flagg, coming off a career-high 29 points on Friday, finished with 12 on 4-of-15 shooting.
Powell leads the Heat with 25.4 points per game, with Adebayo averaging 19.5 points, Ware getting 12.0 points and 10.6 rebounds a night, and Mitchell putting up 10.4 points and 7.5 assists per contest. Flagg averages 16.1 points for Dallas, with Washington netting 15.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, and D’Angelo Russell posting 12.6 points and 5.0 assists per outing.
