Proton's most comprehensive subscription plan, Proton Unlimited, is now 50% off, bringing the price down to $6.49 a month. That's a serious discount for a set of tools that can secure your email, calendar, storage, passwords, and, of course, your internet connection, all for less than $80 a year.
What's best about this Black Friday VPN deal is that I never see Proton Unlimited on offer at any other time. It's normally $12.99 per month, so this is a no-brainer if you’ve been looking to move away from Big Tech and get your photos, docs and the rest switched over to a provider that won't sell your details to advertisers.

Proton Unlimited: $12.99 $6.49/month, saving $78 on a 12-month term.
This is far more than just a VPN; Proton Unlimited is a complete privacy stack, giving you an encrypted, open-source alternative for your email, storage, and passwords—all managed under a single, trustworthy, Swiss-based account.
Features included as part of Proton Unlimited:
✅ Proton Mail: 3 custom domains, 15 email addresses
✅ Proton Drive: 500Gb of encrypted storage
✅ Proton VPN: 10 VPN connections,
✅ Proton Calendar: 25 custom, encrypted calendars
✅ Proton Pass: password manager, 2FA support Proton also offers 30-day money back guarantee so if you're not happy with the product, you can cancel your subscription hassle free.
View DealThe reason I like Proton is its genuine commitment to privacy.
It might sound like an obvious expectation for a VPN company, but a number of companies operating in this market are far from transparent. Given that you're trusting a company with your entire browsing history, choosing a provider you trust is paramount.
Proton is one of the few providers that backs up its privacy promises with a proven track record, open-source apps, and headquarters in privacy-friendly Switzerland.
And its apps are genuinely great to use, too. It's not our top-rated VPN – that goes to NordVPN – but it's definitely up there. NordVPN slightly outperforms Proton when it comes to speed and ease of use but is more expensive than Proton's basic plan and I haven't noticed any particularly slow speeds in my time using it.
What's more, NordVPN doesn't provide all of the additional features that Proton Unlimited offers – though that's not to say that Nord is lacking features. It's worth checking out NordVPN's Black Friday deal to see how the two stack up against each other before you decide.
If you find that you don't need the additional features included in Proton Unlimited, you can downgrade your subscription at any time and just keep access to the tools that work best for you. Or if you're just looking to secure your browsing data, then check out Proton VPN's basic Black Friday discount.
