By Evan MasseyShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Ohio State Buckeyes are set to face off against the Michigan Wolverines in the latest installment of "The Game" on Saturday afternoon. Julian Sayin and company will be looking to end a brutal four-game losing streak to the arch rival Wolverines.
Heading into the game, Ohio State holds the No. 1 ranking in the nation. A matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers in the Big Ten championship game appears to be on the horizon, assuming both the Buckeyes and Hoosiers win this weekend.
While there is a lot to be excited about, the history of Ohio State against Michigan is a bit worrisome for Buckeyes fans.

Most notably, Ohio State fell victim at home to the Wolverines last season. Despite being massive favorites, Ryan Day was unable to lead his team to a rivalry win. The team went on to a win a national championship, but the loss to Michigan caused a lot of drama within the Buckeyes' fan base.
...Ahead of this weekend's bitter rivalry game, Ohio State took to social media to share a major piece of news regarding its young quarterback Sayin.
Sayin has been named a finalist for the Davey O'Brien award. That honor is given to the most outstanding quarterback in the nation. There is no doubt that Sayin has been one of the top signal callers throughout the country this season.
Throughout his first season as the starter for the Buckeyes, Sayin has played lights out. He has completed an impressive 79.4 percent of his pass attempts for 2,832 yards, 27 touchdowns, and just four interceptions.
In order to knock off the Wolverines, Ohio State will need Sayin to continue playing at that high level. He has shown no signs of slowing down in recent weeks and is also looking to make a statement when it comes to his potential Heisman resume as well.

One major question mark for the Buckeyes before the season finale against Michigan is the health status of Sayin's top two wide receivers. Both Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate missed last week's game against Rutgers. It sounds like they're both hoping to play this weekend, but not being at 100 percent could make things much more interest.
All of that being said, Ohio State is set for its showdown with Michigan. Sayin is one of the best quarterback's in the country and will have his first shot to lead the Buckeyes to a win in the rivalry. He's also fighting for two potential major awards as well.
