By James BrizuelaShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberIn a very uncharacteristic game for Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb, the renowned pass catcher dropped three passes against the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, head coach Brian Schottenheimer has issued a strong warning on Lamb ahead of the Thanksgiving showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lamb is not one to drop balls, as he is arguably the best receiver when it comes to contested balls. However, he had an off-day that appears to have fueled him during this short week.
The Cowboys are currently 5-5-1, and they are looking to climb the ladder of the NFC against the Chiefs. A good way to help guarantee a win is to have a big game from Lamb.
When speaking to reporters, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed there is a big plan in place for Lamb, and issued a warning regarding his off game against the Eagles.

Per The Athletic's Jon Machota, Schottenheimer revealed that Lamb has a "look in his eye," and is ready for a sizable workload against the Chiefs.

“He’s got that look in his eye that (he) means business. He’s ready to play. There will be plenty of balls going to 88 Thursday afternoon," Schottenheimer said of Lamb.
Lamb has had a relatively quiet 2025 season compared to George Pickens, who has over 1,000 receiving yards. Lamb's dip in production also comes from missing a few games due to injury.
Schottenheimer's warning from Lamb could be a culmination of the multiple drops in 2025 and his not being as dangerous in the pass game thus far. However, the Cowboys star could go off at any moment.
Lamb remains one of the best receivers in the league, and he still has 632 yards and two touchdowns through eight games. Again, a huge game from him would help the Cowboys greatly against the Chiefs.
