All eyes will be on No. 6 Ole Miss and Mississippi State for the "Egg Bowl" on Friday. Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin is expected to announce his coaching future with the program on Saturday. Kiffin has been linked to LSU and Florida, and could leave Ole Miss before the team enters the College Football Playoff.
Another CFP contender is going through a coaching shakeup this week.

Per Pete Thamel of ESPN, Oklahoma State is set to hire North Texas head coach Eric Morris. The Mean Green are 10-1 and have a chance to make the CFP. If North Texas makes the playoff, Morris is expected to coach the Mean Green despite taking the OSU job.
"Sources: North Texas coach Eric Morris is expected to become the next coach at Oklahoma State," Thamel posted on X. "Morris is set to coach out UNT’s remaining games, including both a potential American Conference title game appearance and CFP bid. Morris has North Texas 10-1 this year, already the best season in school history.
"North Texas has been preparing for his potential departure, and a search is underway for potential replacements."

Morris, 40, played wide receiver at Texas Tech University. He was the offensive coordinator for the Red Raiders when Mahomes played in Lubbock. Morris and then-head coach Kliff Kingsbury helped develop Mahomes into a first-round pick.
Morris left Texas Tech to take the head coaching job at Incarnate Word. He went 24-18 during his time with the Cardinals. Morris spent one year as the offensive coordinator for Washington State before taking over at North Texas.
Morris is 21-15 during his third season with North Texas. The Mean Green will finish the regular season against Temple.
