Fresh off a short offseason, Gilgeous-Alexander has found good health through the first 18 games of the Thunder’s season so far. He hasn’t missed any action.
To no surprise, Gilgeous-Alexander continues thriving and playing at an MVP level. Seeing the court for 32 minutes per game, the star guard has averaged 32.2 points, while shooting 54 percent from the field. From three, he’s been attempting 5.4 shots per game, averaging 41 percent from deep.
Along with his scoring, Gilgeous-Alexander has come down with 4.9 rebounds per game. He is also passing out 6.6 assists per game, and coming up with 1.5 steals per outing.
The Thunder remain the top team in the Western Conference, and Gilgeous-Alexander has stayed at the top of the MVP ladder. With a 17-1 record, the Thunder haven’t hit a championship hangover at all.
On Wednesday, they’ll take on the 10-7 Timberwolves for some NBA Cup action. So far, the Thunder are 2-0 in NBA Cup action, with a plus-63 points differential. The Phoenix Suns are also 2-0 in the group, but have a plus-23 point differential.
The Thunder have a chance to help eliminate the Timberwolves by issuing a loss. The two teams will tip-off at 7:30 PM ET.
