By Jasmine LawsShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberJD Vance revealed on Wednesday that he plans on deep frying his Thanksgiving turkey this year, while addressing servicemen and women in Kentucky.
The vice president said during a visit to Fort Campbell that Thanksgiving was "probably my favorite American holiday," and that it was the "most uniquely American holiday."
He then asked the crowd if they liked Thanksgiving turkey, and said that those who had raised their hands were "full of s***."
"How many times do you roast an 18 pound turkey just randomly," he asked the crowd. "Nobody does it because turkey doesn't actually taste that good."
He said that he'd spoken to a solider who said she was going to deep fry her turkey, and then said that he was going to do the same thing.
The vice president is not the first notable political figure to share the details of how he likes his Thanksgiving turkey cooked - last year, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr posted a video on the social media platform X showing how he cooks his turkey "the MAHA way."
